Roll 6 ; Demekin Fisheye Review
Monday, October 1, 2012 2:39 AM

Camera: Demekin Fisheye
Film: Lomography Color Tiger 110

Specs: 1:13.5 lens, f/8.9 wide angle aperture, 1/100 shutter

Okay, this little guy here was bought on
impulse. Guilty as charged. I couldn’t
resist the cuteness of it. It’s plastic
and light. Fits into pockets easily.

The ‘view finder’ I find, is kind useless.
It’s either it is built there for deco sake,
or I don’t know how to use it.

The shutter is extremely sensitive. I wasted
2 exposures the first time I loaded it. So I
usually only rewind when I need to take a shot.

The pictures are distorted at the side
just like what fisheyes do. But the Demekin
pictures include the entire scene,
rather than having the image stuck in
a circle, with black edges.

It’s a 200 film, so it requires absolute
bright lighting. 6.30pm will turn out like
the above ):

Although it was under a super bright
weather condition, the images were
not sharp (not exactly blurry either..
more…dreamlike?) when taken facing the sun
(camera lens facing sun) like the above.

Again, like the BSD, I think it’s
best to shot with the camera lens’ back
against the sun (subject facing sun)

…I think it applies to all cameras

=_=’’

Self-shots are easily taken as its angles
are really wide.

You can go really near your subject.
It doesn’t blur so badly (:

Unstable hands =\

Massively under-exposed ):

Hmm, overall, I feel that the pictures
aren’t that satisfying, Maybe I need
a better lighting and opportunity?
But it was definitely a fun toy and
superbly easy to carry around (:
